Wait, till you see us on stage!

In a private jet Racey comes twice to Germany during the next days. On the 1st of September at 15:30 o'clock the four musicians with the flash career appear during the ZDF-live show "Maya's Party", on the 14th of September they are to be seen in "Scene '79". Singer and organist Richard Gower, bassist Pete Miller, drummer Clive Wilson and guitarist Philip Fursdon will present their brand-new hit "Boy Oh Boy" then in witty new things - however what Racey really has to offer on stage, the fans may not see it at the moment.
Racey producer Mickie Most has condemned his successful group to a stop for all live concerts. The reason: Racey, currently also in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa in the charts, jets only for TV appearances around the world. "At the earliest from late autumn on we will start to show our full live show", explains Richard, "nevertheless, we already guarantee a sensation. We are no studio Band, and have given during the four years of our existence more than 700 concerts and know every trick of the show business!"
136 miles away from London - in the romantic coastal place Weston-Super-Mare - their career began. Three times per week the four appeared under the name "Alive & Kickin" in the "Three queens club" - in front of only three dozen listeners. "It was a hard school", remembers Clive Wilson, "we played songs of the Beach Boys, the Eagles and the Beatles. And if it worked sometimes not properly, we were booed.
In such a small frame one feels the public reaction much more clearly, as if one stands with a gigantic arrangement in the back on a big stage. "For one hundred pounds of evening fee (about 400 DM) the quartet did small-time straight through England and occasionally got hold of engagements abroad. "there we were booked by the us-embassy in Bonn for a diplomat's receipt. A few older ladies dropped the glasses when we got cracking. Then we had to play so quietly that one heard frying the steaks on the grill..."
Wildly as at Beatles times it was in February of this year, when Racey started a flash tour through England after their first hit "Lay Your Love On You" (note: The writer had really no notion or?). With their perfect rock'n'roll, the show action and their rousing happy radiation Racey released a hysteria in every appearance. Richard: "At our concert in Walsall 5000 people suddenly started to dance and went bananas. We had to break off our show prematurely because a balcony threatened to fall." Producer Mickie Most is persuaded: "The career of Racey will explode when I let the boys get live on stage. The first tour should start in October in Germany."
They already rehearsal for it by now in the insignificant small row house of drummer Clive Wilson. "We will play brand-new songs of our first album which appears in October", tells Philip Fursdon "and in addition as a surprise we will play some rockoldies which we present in absolutely new version.
